World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items lets players upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.

Utility Items
Utility items are equipment that don't fall into the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons, and provide various capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor and Clothing, no utility item can conflict with another. Most utility items have a passive effect that players can activate while using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button, or by activating an ability.
The Flashlight is the most common utility item. It lights up the surrounding area. Other useful items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack that allows him to accelerate in any directions when on the ground. Many useful items can be immediately created in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through Research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the standard inventory, players can also obtain some more useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Some of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
The majority of utility items provide the player with a navigational advantage or increase a specific combat ability. For instance, sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith boost Ferocity and Power, while Maintenance Oils crafted by the Huntsman increase the power of concentration and healing.
